OUR STORY
INSTITUTIONAL EVOLUTION
More Than a Team
Cimarrones has transcended the boundaries of a traditional sports team. We have evolved into a robust institution dedicated to social impact, regional development, and the professionalization of talent in Chocó. Our mission is to build lasting pathways that extend far beyond the final buzzer.
This institutional shift means more than just competition; it represents a commitment to community empowerment. By fostering strategic partnerships and athletic excellence, we are creating a legacy that strengthens the identity of our region and inspires the next generation of leaders.
BASKETBALL LEGACY
Basketball: Where the Journey Took Shape
Basketball was the arena where the Cimarrones vision first transformed into professional competition. It provided the stage to demonstrate that Chocó talent could not only compete but thrive at the highest levels, establishing a standard of excellence that defines our institution.
This foundation served as the catalyst for our institutional evolution. What began on the court became the blueprint for structural development, allowing Cimarrones to expand its reach and continue building visibility for the region's immense sporting potential.
CHOCÓ & TALENT
Chocó: Where Talent Begins
Chocó is not just a location; it is the source of our identity and the birthplace of the talent we foster. The region's vibrant culture and resilient spirit are woven into the very fabric of Cimarrones, grounding our mission in a deep sense of place and belonging.
We are dedicated to building opportunity from within the region, ensuring that local pathways to success are robust and sustainable. By connecting this homegrown talent to opportunities beyond our borders, we bridge the gap between regional potential and global success.
From Chocó to the World
The evolution of Cimarrones now extends beyond Chocó and Colombia. Through Cimarrones del Chocó USA, LLC, we are building an institutional bridge between Colombia and the United States designed to expand opportunities in sports development, international exposure, education and strategic collaboration.
This international platform represents the next stage of a journey that began in Chocó: preserving our roots while creating new pathways for athletes, institutions and communities to connect with a broader world of opportunity.
FUTURE PATHWAYS
The Next Chapter
Our story continues to evolve. Basketball remains part of the foundation we have built, while soccer, talent development and international opportunities represent new pathways for the future of Cimarrones.
What began in Chocó is growing into a broader sporting platform—one designed to identify talent, develop potential, create connections and open doors between Colombia and the United States.
The sports may evolve. The opportunities may grow. But our identity remains the same: Cimarrones del Chocó.
