Our home region of Chocó, Colombia, has been deeply affected by an earthquake that damaged homes, left families displaced, and disrupted entire communities.
Many families are still struggling with damaged or unsafe housing. The humanitarian impact has also reached our sports community, as our basketball arena has served as temporary shelter for affected families, interrupting professional basketball activities.
Through CHOCÓ RISING, Cimarrones del Chocó USA, LLC seeks to mobilize international support for community recovery, restore opportunities for young athletes, strengthen basketball and soccer development programs, and help build a more resilient future for Chocó.
We are not asking for sympathy. We are inviting the world to stand with Chocó, support its recovery, and help build a stronger future through sports.
